The giraffe is the tallest animal in the world. They live in tree savannas. The giraffe lives in group. They eat leaves seeds and fruits from trees. The giraffe have a long throat so they can reach food which other animals can not reach. The giraffes height is 4 to 5,5 meters and its tail is 75 to 110 cm. Their tongue is a half meter long. The giraffe can live up to 25 years. The male weigh 800 to 1930 kg and the female weigh 450 to 1180 kg. The baby weigh 75 kg and it is 1,75 meters tall. It doubles the length in their first year of life. An adult can kill a lion with only one kick. Sometimes the hit is so hard that the lions head fell off. A giraffe can also run up to 55 km/h. The humans hunt the giraffes for its meat. The female use 55% of the day for eating and the male 45%. Every giraffe have a unique pattern which not changes in the whole life. The giraffe can survive some days without water but prefer drink regular. It can walk long ways to find water. When it drinks the water it separates the legs, and in that position they are much more defenseless.
