The arrogant royalist smirked quite like a British oligarch and smugly replied "The illegitimate government of the First Empire, you stupid grenadier."
"Wrong. It's been 25 years since the First Republic adopted this flag. If it was a fake flag, and the Bourbon government, as you say, is legitimate… then the French people would have stopped waving it by now."
The traitor was visibly shaken and dropped his chalk and copy of the Bible and stormed out of the classroom crying those crocodile tears of supporters of the old regime, if only he had a musket he would kill him self on the spot but of course the rebellious clericalist had fought hard to sabotage the Imperial war effort!
The students applauded and all joined the Grande Armée and accepted Napoleon as their legitimate Emperor by the Grace of God and the will of the people. An eagle named Austerlitz flew into the room and perched atop the Bourbon flag, and cried tears that turned it into a triclor. The La Marseillaise was sung several times and Napoleon's Grand Marshals showed up and awarded everyone the Legion of Honor .The royalist lost his peerage and was stripped of his nobility the next day. He died of the syphillis he got from sleeping with a Franciscan monk and was denied entry into the Deist heaven. Vive l'Empereur!
